Empowering the next generation of farm animal advocates
The Youth Pro-Animal Awards (YPAA) is a global nonprofit initiative that uses grants and mentorship to equip young people to harness social media as a force for farm animal welfare.
Our annual social media competition spotlights and empowers young pro-animal creators. In partnership with The Pollination Project, we’ve awarded grants to teens in 20+ countries and enlisted expert judges and mentors to help amplify their content and elevate their impact.

Jessica was 13 years old when she founded Little Red Barn Sanctuary — a safe haven for rescued cows, pigs, goats, and chickens in Winnipeg, Canada. What started as a school project grew into a vibrant micro-sanctuary with dozens of animals and over 200,000 followers.
Jessica uses social media to contrast the joy of sanctuary life with the harsh realities of factory farming, and to share the vibrant personalities of her rescue cows, pigs, horses and chickens.
